Paint Colors Needed:
  • Shamrock / Leaf Green
  • Forest Green
  • Apple Green
  • Lavender
  • Sky Blue
  • White
Use Acrylic Craft Paint in these colors to mix up shades used in the painting of these flowers as instructed below.

(*Note: Depending on the brand of paint you buy, the name may vary, look for a color that fits the description in the name.)


 
Paint By Letter Guide & Paint Mixing Instructions:
For each "part" use an equal measure such as one drop from the bottle equaling "1 part" and 4 drops equaling "4 parts" etc...
 
 

 
J - Stems
2 parts forest green
2 parts leaf green
1 part apple green

R - Back Petals
4 parts lavendar
2 parts sky blue
1 part white

A - Front Petals
4 parts lavendar
2 parts sky blue
3 parts white

Shaded Area in Center and Lines on Petals
lavendar only

Stem Highlights
3 parts apple green
2 parts leaf green
1 part forest green
 

Flower Painting Instructions:
Paint parts in the order given here for best results and use the color chart above to mix the colors correctly for each part.

  1. Paint the stems. (marked J)
  2. Paint the back petals. (marked R)
  3. Paint the front petals. (marked A)
  4. Paint the shaded area in the center of the flower facing forward.
  5. Paint the center of the flower facing forward with two coats.
  6. Drawn the lines on the flower petals with a toothpick or tiny brush.
  7. Paint the stamen (it stands in the center of the flower and holds pollen).
  8. Lastly, use the highlight color and paint a thin line along the center of each stem.
