Paint Colors Needed:
  • Shamrock / Leaf Green
  • Sky Blue
  • Lavender
  • Regular Pink
  • Canary Yellow
  • Light Brown
  • White
Use Acrylic Craft Paint in these colors to mix up shades used in the painting of these flowers as instructed below.

(*Note: Depending on the brand of paint you buy, the name may vary, look for a color that fits the description in the name.)


 
Paint By Letter Guide & Paint Mixing Instructions:
For each "part" use an equal measure such as one drop from the bottle equaling "1 part" and 4 drops equaling "4 parts" etc...
 
 
G - Stems
leaf green only

W - Petals
4 parts sky blue
1 part lavendar

H - Flower Buds
5 parts sky blue
1 part pink
1 part white

D - Center Circles
3 parts yellow
1 part light brown

S - Centers
light brown only

I - Petal Edging
3 parts white
1 part water

Shaded Areas
2 parts paint
3 parts water

Lines on Buds
Lavendar

Flower Painting Instructions:
Paint parts in the order given here for best results and use the color chart above to mix the colors correctly for each part.

  1. Paint the stems but not the bud stems. (marked G)
  2. Paint the flower buds. (marked H)
  3. Paint the remaining stem and bud stems. (marked G)
  4. Paint the flower petals. (marked W)
  5. Paint the petal edging. (marked I)
  6. Paint the center circles. (marked D)
  7. Paint the centers. (marked S)
  8. Drawn the lines on the flower buds with a toothpick or tiny brush.
  9. Lastly, use the watered down white on the areas that are shaded.
