Snowflake Candy Project

Materials Needed:
-
10 inch long Small Bamboo Skewers
-
Large Marshmallows
-
Small Marshmallows
-
Butter or Margarine
|
-
White Gumdrops
-
LifeSavers "Cryst O Mint" candies
-
Scissors
|
Instructions
for Assembling Candy Snowflakes;
-
Cut one bamboo
skewer in half for two, 5 inch pieces.
-
Cut another bamboo
skewer in half and then cut another inch off each piece to make two, 4 inch pieces.
-
Butter each of
the 5 inch skewer pieces.
-
Slide one 5 inch
skewer through the middle of a large marshmallow from top to bottom.
-
Slide the other
5 inch skewer through the middle of the same large marshmallow from left
to right. Center the skewers in the marshmallow. The skewers form a cross.

Next slide a
small marshmallow, a cryst O mint lifesaver, another small marshmallow,
and finally a white gumdrop onto a skewer end. Follow this same pattern
of candies on each skewer end.

Butter each of
the 4 inch skewer pieces.
-
Slide the 4 inch
skewers through the middle of the same large marshmallow diagonally as
if to form an X. Center the skewers in the marshmallow.

Next slide a
small marshmallow and then a white gumdrop on each skewer end.
Done!
Makes a fun winter project for
parties or snowdays.
A yummy project for kids. Easy
enough for little hands to do.
