Materials Needed:

  • 10 inch long Small Bamboo Skewers
  • Large Marshmallows
  • Small Marshmallows
  • Butter or Margarine
  • White Gumdrops
  • LifeSavers "Cryst O Mint" candies
  • Scissors

Instructions for Assembling Candy Snowflakes;

  1. Cut one bamboo skewer in half for two, 5 inch pieces.
  2. Cut another bamboo skewer in half and then cut another inch off each piece to make two, 4 inch pieces.
  3. Butter each of the 5 inch skewer pieces.
  4. Slide one 5 inch skewer through the middle of a large marshmallow from top to bottom.
  5. Slide the other 5 inch skewer through the middle of the same large marshmallow from left to right. Center the skewers in the marshmallow. The skewers form a cross.
  6. Next slide a small marshmallow, a cryst O mint lifesaver, another small marshmallow, and finally a white gumdrop onto a skewer end. Follow this same pattern of candies on each skewer end.
  7. Butter each of the 4 inch skewer pieces.
  8. Slide the 4 inch skewers through the middle of the same large marshmallow diagonally as if to form an X. Center the skewers in the marshmallow.
  9. Next slide a small marshmallow and then a white gumdrop on each skewer end.

Done!
Makes a fun winter project for parties or snowdays.
